THE PH TEAM

A note from Vee-

When designing powHerhouse, I wanted to create a place for females to come find their movement – something that made them feel confident, strong, and empowered! I believe movement is essential but each body requires its own flavor. I’ve designed 10 different style of classes that are always changing yet consistent in format and intensity. One of the goals of powHerhouse is to help create lifestyle changes, so that when someone walks in the doors they cannot wait to come back! Not only is our focus on creating bomb workouts but more importantly building a strong community. powHerhouse isn’t just a fitness studio but a place to call HOME.
Welcome to powHerhouse

Veronica
Whats up Whats up?!?! I’m Veronica aka Vee – the owner and creator of the powHerhouse Fitness Studio. I’m a whole lot of loud, energy, and spunk. You’ll be able to know I’m in the studio from the moment you walk up the stairwell ? For the past 10 years, fitness has had a huge role in my life and I couldn’t be more thankful for it. Movement is my therapy and has helped me overcome a lot of challenges. I’ve been a dancer my whole life, have coached nationally ranked competitive cheerleading teams, and have spent countless hours training people of all ages, shapes, and sizes, including myself. Through it all, I have found a passion for not only taking care of myself but helping others along their journey. PowHerhouse is literally a dream come true and I’m so honored to get to share it with my incredible team and community. I believe in progress not perfection and we are constantly striving for personal growth while loving ourselves every step of the way. When I’m not sweating it out at the HOUSE, I’m hanging with my mini man Drizzy or soaking up the sun on my paddle board.

Growing up I was always competing. If i wasn’t at a practice or a game then I was most likely at school racing anyone and everyone. I always wanted to run faster, jump higher and be better. Throughout my life sports fueled me but one in particular took my heart. Soccer was it for me I would eat sleep and breath it. After high school I played college then semi pro. Giving up my dream of playing soccer professionally was one of the hardest things I ever had to do but I had to find a new passion. I found weight training, I found the gym I found my groove again. At the start of my fitness journey I saw a lot of gyms and I worked at a lot of gyms but something was still missing. I envisioned something bigger something better, something with women empowerment, and a community. When you can’t find it the the next best thing is to dream it and make it a reality and that’s what Veronica and myself did. PowHerhouse is not just a fitness studio it’s much more then that. It’s blood, sweat and tears. It’s women from all different places in their own journey coming together to be better each day and I am eternally grateful for it! If I’m not at the studio you can catch me chasing my very high energy kids around usually with a spicy margarita in the other hand.

Hilary

Hilary

Well hey there! I’m Hilary and most likely we’ve met while getting you checked in for class or at a powHerhouse event. I help Vee, Jes and the amazing trainers at powHerhouse plan events, put together challenges, and other fun marketing projects. powHerhouse gives me a creative escape and allows me to make my pinterest dreams a reality whether it’s through studio decorations, themed events or partnering up with amazing local vendors! powHerhouse is my home away from home and I’m grateful to be a part of such a bomb @ss community full of inspiring and strong women. When I’m not at powHerhouse or working my day job at Revolution Brewing, you can find me hanging out with my pup Butters or exploring Chicago with friends and family.

Jaymi

Jaymi
Hi! My name is Jaymi (aka juicebox). If you are ever taking class with me, I am the one bouncing around or dancing in between sets. I fell in love with movement at a very young age and danced for most of my life. I also played many sports including basketball, softball, and competitive cheerleading. My experience as an instructor began with teaching hip hop, contemporary, jazz, ballet, and tap dance. I learned a lot about the body and mind in college while pursuing a degree in psychology with a dance minor, which further sparked my interest in health and fitness. I have been with PowHerhouse since the beginning and feel extremely lucky to call it my second home. I can honestly say that developing new formats and routines to keep our clients excited and moving is a PASSION of mine (pun intended?). I have also had the pleasure to take on the role of Instructor Developer at the house in which I train new and current instructors in various formats. I hold a certification in personal training and nutrition coaching from NASM and continue to take courses to further my education so I can be the best coach for our clients!

Outside of the studio, you can find me working my daytime job as a Mental Health Care Advocate, eating nut butters, spending time with my boyfriend (Sean), going for walks, enjoying nature, and rolling with my side kick (dog, Cody). I have an overactive imagination and a lot of quirks, also you will probably never see my socks match 😊

Danielle T.

Danielle T.

Hello ladies! My name is Danielle and I have been a fitness instructor for just over a year now. I have been dancing since I was age 3 and I have been teaching dance classes for 8 years now! My specialty (and favorite) is ballet and I continue to perform as a dance company member at Picture Us Different. Through dance I discovered my passion of health & wellness. I love the feeling I get after a good sweat and how it can clear my mind before or after a stressful day. When I got the opportunity to start teaching fitness I fell in love with it! I love a challenging, strength Power class but I also loves how strong and accomplished I feel after a Pulse style class. I love using my ballet background when I teach Pulse. Outside of the studio, you can find me teaching, currently at a therapy special education day school and pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy. I am so excited to be a part of the Powherhouse Team!

Danielle F.

Danielle F.

Hi everyone! I’m Danielle and I’ve been a fitness instructor for almost 4 years. I haven’t always been into fitness and to be honest, pizza and a good nap always sounded way more intriguing to me than a workout did. (Am I right?!) But in the last few years, I fell in love with the way my body and mind felt after a good sweat and knew I wanted to be able to give other women the opportunity to feel the same way. I’m a new mom and while I love spending my days at home with my baby girl, I know now more than ever how important 50 minutes for yourself really is. I love creating new routines to push and challenge you and make every minute of your “me” time worthwhile. I cant wait to see what we can do when we come together and sweat it out!

Ferisa

Ferisa
Hi ladies!! My name is Ferisa and I could not be more excited to be a part of this amazing team. Fitness has been a huge part of my life since early childhood, from playing soccer in the streets to running track and playing volleyball throughout school. I found a new love for group fitness classes and strength training when I made my big move from VA to Chicago in 2014. It is super empowering to workout with and instruct such a bad ass group of women everyday! I am a huge advocate of growth and meeting new goals. So let’s get to work! You will probably see me at the studio dropping my kids off at club house, doing crazy cardio moves in class, or behind the mic! Outside of the studio I love to spend time with my two kids and husband – going to coffee shops, visiting new restaurants, and traveling somewhere warm. I’m looking forward to seeing you reach all of your goals at a place I like to call my second home, PHouse baby!

Laura

laura

Hiiiiii! My name is Laura and I’m a newcomer to Park Ridge. I’ve been a group fitness instructor for 6 years and prior to that, a collegiate dance team coach and dancer. Collectively, these experiences have shaped my fitness philosophy that it’s just as much mental as it is physical. I want you to be strong in BOTH. Nothing makes me feel more accomplished than leaving my workout sweaty, buzzed with endorphins and a sense of pride that I couldn’t have given more. I love pushing my clients to get to that point too and seeing them make progress however they define it. When not teaching, I’m at my day job (in marketing communications), tackling house projects, meal preppin’ and spending time with my family and friends.

Rachel

Rachel

Hi everyone, I’m Rachel! I am stoked to be a part of the powHerhouse team and even more so excited to play a role in your fitness journey! I have been involved in athletics since a young age and developed a passion for dance and running. I have competed in cross country and track & field at a D1 University and on an elite team in Chicago post college. These experiences have helped shape me into the person I am today and have instilled the value of teamwork and having a strong support system to push you and hold you accountable. PowHerhouse is just that: a community of strong women empowering each other every day. When I am not at the studio you’ll find me at my day job as a business analyst, running around the city, or spending time with my family & friends.

Ponder

ponder

Hiiii! My name is Alex (a.k.a Ponder) and I am so excited to be an instructor at PowHerhouse! My love for fitness is rooted in my two decades of dance experience. After college when my dancing days came to an end, PowHerhouse became my home away from home. I fell in love with PowHerhouse for the same reasons as I did with dance. Dance classes were a place where I could push myself and see how much I could grow when I put mind over matter and persevere through a challenge (hellllooo pointe shoes). There’s no greater feeling than watching yourself become stronger, and I’m so excited to be your biggest cheerleader and help all of you to not only meet but overcome those challenges! When I’m not at PowHerhouse, you can find me at my day job (I work for a member of Congress!), buying (too many) plants for my Lakeview apartment, and forever wishing Chicago’s picnic by the lake season was a year round possibility.

Mandy

mandy

Hi Ladies! My name is Mandy I have had a love for fitness starting at a young age of 8 when I started competitively swimming. From there I tried every sport and fitness studio I could find. Being a massage therapist for 14 years I have always been fascinated with the human body and all that it can do. After having my two kids I realized I had lost touch with my body and had some large goals for myself that were unfulfilled. That was until I discovered powHerhouse. I fell in love from the first class and knew I wanted to become and instructor. I love chasing the “burn” and feeling of pride when you pick up heavier weights than you could the week before. Outside the studio I live in Park Ridge with my husband kids and dog. I am a stay at home Mom (that does Massage during my free time at PowHerHouse) so you can usually find me with Easton and Aria at a local park or at the library in our free time.

Simon

Simon

Hey, Ladies! Alex (AKA Simon) here. As a working mom with two young kids, I understand it’s not always easy to find the time or energy to fit in a workout. But the days I do are the sometimes the only days I feel 100% myself and ready to tackle the day! That’s why I try to make a getting in a class an absolute priority. I’ve been a certified fitness instructor since 2014 and fell in love with PowHerhouse after moving to Glenview in 2019 (you just can’t beat being a part of The House!!) As an instructor, know that I understand how valuable your time is and will do everything I can to make our time in studio one of the highlights of your day. Fitness is mental just as much as it is physical, and my goal is to help motivate you to strengthen both aspects of your fabulous self. Can’t wait to see you in class 🙂

Sandberg

sandberg

Newest member of the PH team here and wildly excited to join this incredible group of women. I have been a lover of all things fitness for as long as I can remember, started dancing when I was 3 and didn’t stop until the end of college.  In my adult life dancing has taken a backseat to all other forms of fitness including lifting, kickboxing, yoga, running, cycling and pretty much anything that can make you sweat.  I recently moved to the Park Ridge area and was scared I wouldn’t find a gym that fit my need for variety. I knew the moment I stepped under the pink lights I had found my second home.  Outside of the studio, you can find me working my day job (chemical sales), hanging with my two pit bulls (Kane & Hazel) or meal prepping.  As a high energy morning person, you’ll catch me at all the early morning classes and whether I’m instructing or working out alongside you I can’t wait to help support you in meeting your goals!

Niki

niki

I discovered yoga at the young age of 14 and instantly fell in love. Daily practice and self teaching for almost 10 years lead me to formal teacher training at Core Power Yoga in 2014. Yoga has benefited me physically AND mentally- which is what I love sharing most in my classes. I am also a music junkie. I put a lot of thought into sequencing my classes with music that moves your body & activates your mind. Though I may be a “yogi”, I love all forms of fitness-especially swimming. I also find that kickboxing (Punch) is a great compliment to my yoga practice.
If you don’t catch me on my mat chances are you’ll find me with a dog… or if I’m lucky, at a concert!”
